When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.

Bürokratieabbau ist keine bloße Absichtserklärung, sondern längst im vollen Gange. Seit ihrem Amtsantritt hat die Bundesregierung hier Entlastungen von über 3 Milliarden Euro auf den Weg gebracht: Der Bauturbo sorgt für schnelleren Wohnungsbau, öffentliche Aufträge werden einfacher vergeben, die Pflege wird unbürokratischer. Das bedeutet weniger Aufwand für Bürgerinnen und Bürger, Unternehmen und Verwaltung. Heute hat das Kabinett weitere Schritte beschlossen.

Im Hintergrund ist ein Eisberg zu sehen, dessen größter Teil unter Wasser liegt. Darüber steht der Text: „Entlastungen durch Bürokratierückbau? Größer als Sie denken!“ Darunter heißt es: „Bürokratiekosten von mehr als 3 Milliarden Euro wurden seit Amtsantritt abgebaut. Weitere Entlastungen wurden heute beschlossen: vom digitalen Führerschein bis zum einfacheren Immobilienkauf.“

I would like to give an update on "federation" on Bluesky.

My expectation was it was unlikely we'd ever see this happen because "federation" on ATProto means basically reproducing the entirety of the Bluesky software stack. In old Big Data terms, on ActivityPub your instance is a "horizontal shard" of the network; ATProto forces full DB replicas only.

Still, we're seeing movement on this front, which I'd split into two categories:

  1. Your fault (you reading this)
  2. Aaron Rodericks's fault

Dunno what your writing process is but mine usually is just a thing kinda building up inside me and then I spend a night to write it instead of getting enough sleep because I just can't let it go even for another night. It's a weird sensation.

@tante It is exactly this process why I sometimes feel like going pregnant with a text and then it is time to give birth. I have birthed a child, and once that process starts, there is no stopping. And once the text is ready inside me, it needs to be out into this world.

One of my first paintings with color back in late 2022. I had only done monochromatic drawings most of my life, and wanted to teach myself color and painting. This is basically a colored drawing, and a big first step! It's called, "Cozy Cat."
