Interesting. This is the second time I have seen this point made today. Outbreak control is process, with a toolbox. You have to use the whole process, and all your tools. Except in the US, we don't have the poultry vaccine tool. Dont know whose specific decision that was, but farmers can't give what the government is not producing/licensing.

My flight from LAX to PHL (en route to Web Summit in Lisbon) was told to join a holding pattern over PHL because of air traffic controller shortages, but we didn't have fuel, so we diverted to BWI and were put in a holding pattern there, but we had even less fuel, so now they're trying to land us at Dulles. Here's hoping. Thanks, Trump.

One of the very best things about Fedi is that I am protected by a lovely big safe cloak of anonymity. And it's with this I feel free to ruminate on my day with my inlaws. I am comfortable being the neuro outlier, but I do wonder sometimes how my strangeness is supposed to be stranger than their strangeness. My elderly MiL lifted her shirt and made me feel her bare stomach to prove how much weight she's lost, and one of my BiLs told me a long and extremely graphic tale (as the horror of realisation crept upon me) that he is currently taking a medication that makes him regularly shit himself. I think I handled both those situations really quite well, considering. But inside...... inside I was dying.
