From North Carolina’s Weather Authority on FB: It's a new day across the state; our weather will change somewhat. Happy Monday, North Carolina! We will have scattered clouds this morning, with some clearing for parts of the state across Central and Eastern NC. The Piedmont and parts of the Yadkin Valley will see more clouds throughout the day, which will limit the temperatures to the 40s. The rest of the state should see highs in the 50s with the low 60s across SE North Carolina. We will see warmer temps for the rest of the week across the state. It'll be a generally tranquil day.

This is our in-house model showing a stout tropical storm or hurricane Imelda Monday morning moving north and towards the SC coast. Notice, rain extending well away from the center. These high resolution models will continue to show a clearer picture of both track and intensity through the weekend.
