Reminiscing with this gorgeous cluster of deep orange Favolaschia claudopus (Orange Porecap Fungus) fruiting bodies on a decaying Beech trunk. I took this on my local patch at Denny Wood, New Forest, UK in Autumn 2024. A subtropical species marching eastward across Britain's warmer southern counties. An indicator of environmental changes afoot.

Another introductory post from a feral, mycophile.

This was one of my favourites finds from autumn 2025, and the first time I have found and photographed Aleuria aurantia (Orange Peel Fungus). This picture was taken at Denny Wood, New Forest, UK.

My first post on Mastodon, as well as my first day in the Fediverse and a new start away from the bin-fire that is Faceb00k.

A photograph taken on a cold and misty January morning at Hawkhill Inclosure, near Beaulieu, in the New Forest, UK.
