French web site an app Leboncoin is one of most used apps.

I have bought tons of stuff, sold as many donated and received gifts from people for many years.

But every now and then I come by people who are not very honest. Selling items at ridiculous price or use false text in title to gain visibility and clicks.

This cordless mini drill is sold for 25€ @ Lidl , this guy is asking 65€.
And added "Dremel" to the name to attract visitors.

Lunchtime charity (thrift) shopping FTW!

Earlier this year my husband gave me some retro plates as a gift (Royal Doulton Sonnet, so made between 1971 and 1998). Last week I found one of the local charity shops had a pile of serving dishes in the pattern. I didn't get them because really, I have a lot of china, but when I mentioned it to them he pointed out we don't have a set of serveware, and sometimes it'd be nice to have something less eclectic. Also, we don't have a gravy boat.

So, I got two big oval platters, three veggie dishes and a gravy boat for £27. That's possibly a lot in charity shop terms, but a really good price for excellent-quality porcelain, and people online charge more than that for a single platter or veggie dish.

"Niemiecki Czerwony Krzyż poinformował, że rocznie otrzymuje od 70 do 80 tys. ton odzieży.
Tylko 10% trafia bezpośrednio do potrzebujących.
50% podlega recyklingowi i jest przetwarzana na surowce wtórne.
Pozostałe 40% ląduje w ofercie second handów. Dochody wspierają wówczas działania organizacji, np. pomoc humanitarną w czasie klęsk żywiołowych."

An unexpected find this morning at the site's bookshop!

A particular pleasure to buy as the editor is an old friend of my sister's.
