Portrait-orientation photo of a brown grassy field under an overcast sky with wavelike rows of clouds. A simple post-and-wire fence zigzags across the field, with a tilted white wooden post prominently in the foreground. The fence recedes to the horizon at the halfway point of the image, where silhouettes of trees stretch from the center of the horizon to right frame.
A striking image of a large, bare-branched tree silhouetted against a setting sun on the left, casting long shadows across the foreground. To the right of the tree, a wooden fence separates a patch of sunlit, vibrant green grass from the darker, more muted colours of the foreground. In the background, rolling hills covered in dense woodland rise up under a sky with scattered clouds and patches of blue. The overall impression is one of peaceful, rustic beauty.
On my recent walk home I spotted this small Dark-eyed Junco perching on a wire fence and "playing both sides of the fence" came to mind or The Rolling Stones song "Sitting On a Fence" LOL; I loved the perspective, the striking visual, the juxtaposition of nature and manmade object for this playful snap.
