A red house in wood.
A warm-up sketch from this week, made in acrylic paint. (It gives a slightly different effect compared to the last one, which was made in gouache.)
A house painted, on A5 paper, on a white background. Its main colours are shades of red, orange and an eggshell beige. The outside of the ground floor is in red-orange wood. The first floor is made of plaster with wooden beams in between different parts, half-timbering technique. One part of the first floor, on the right, is supported by wooden pillars. The top floor is made of the red-orange wood again. The roof is a maroon colour. The whole house is not symmetrical. It has a cosy, a bit crooked, feeling to it.

Als Francis Bailey ein altes Gasthaus in Yorkshire erbt, beschließt er, seine Zelte in London abzubrechen, um ein Bed & Breakfast zu eröffnen. Doch bald muss er feststellen, dass es in dem alten Haus spukt. Eine Zumutung für ihn – und für potenzielle Gäste.
Dazu kommt, dass einer der Geister sich offenbar zu ihm hingezogen fühlt, was es noch komplizierter macht.
Als Francis den Handwerker Aaron kennenlernt und die beiden sich näherkommen, droht die Situation zu eskalieren. Doch was soll Francis tun, wenn sich die Geister nicht vertreiben lassen?
