A scene featuring characters from a show X Files. In the first panel Scully holds an umbrella and says "The most important thing is to believe in yourself." In the second panel Mulder adds "And also aliens."
Image is of a traditional illustration done on a licensed trading card blank. The bottom of the card is decorated with the set logo: The X-Files, the text Artist Sketch Card and black and yellow graphic under the logo and text. The illustration is a scene from an X-Files episode. POV from inside a shadowy, dark sewage pipe, of a green mutant monster beginning to climb up into it. The art is signed DG 25 in the lower corner, the initials for the artist Diana Greenhalgh and the year the art was produced for the set. The art is rendered with Copic markers.
On the occasion of relocating myself to a new part of the Fediversean galaxy.
As always I travel light, bringing few of my former workings, preferring to reinvent myself all over again.
However these themes will undoubtedly recur amongst the things I choose to speak of, for they have been wired deep in my psyche
#PhotoOfTheDay is a very scaaaaary flashback to several years ago when my kid was Dana Scully for Halloween, seen here doing a very common "WTF Mulder?" impression. 😁

AO3 are archiving all the fanfic from the 1990s paper-and-ink fanzine DTA (Dreaming the Answers), published by cj2017 and me. But it's been 1000000 years and we no longer have current contact details for any of the authors!
If your fic was published in DTA and you want updated username/contact info adding or your username removing, or you don't want your fic to be archived at all, please contact the Open Doors project and let them know, or contact me. More info is here on the announcement post on AO3.

Formen på de flyvende tallerkener og farverne i baggrunden minder en del om den plakat, Agent Mulder har hængende på sit kontor i "X-files", mange år senere. Men hans mangler altså en eller to kaiju.
Today, March 7, in 1992, Dr. Dana Scully and FBI agent Fox Mulder work on their first case together, traveling to northwest Oregon to investigate potential alien abductions (The X-Files, s01e01 “Pilot”, 1993)
This is still something of a #WIP because I’m trying some different approaches to my linework and color… and I tried out a new composition blocking approach from Corey Brickley (thanks for that tutorial on BSky!) and I’m happy to say I think it’s helped my drawing significantly.
It’s been an aaaage since I’ve attempted likenesses, so I am happy to hear constructive feedback.
Anyway, Happy Valentine’s Day from my favorite example of opposites attract. ☺️
A rough sketch showing the technique of blocking from reference using large blocky shapes, then modifying the shapes on a second layer to suit your changes and exaggerations, then a “pencil sketch” on top of the second layer of blocking in.
Do you know these names: Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood, Bruce Harwood ? Maybe you know these guys - Richard Langly, Melvin Frohike, John Fitzgerald Byers. I remember how happy I was when these characters appeared in The X Files. In 2006, I saw The Lone Gunmen series for the first time and it was an incredible feeling. I want a remake with a different plot in today's time or in the setting of the 90s.
