So the far-right scrape together tens of thousands of people and they
get a live blog on most news services, more than 100,000 people turn up
for Trans Pride in London and itis barely even registered. The media
aren't just reporting a reality, they are constructing it.
A few weeks ago, roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. Fewer than 3,000 across the whole country have turned up to anti-asylum 'protests'. Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".
My girlfriend’s family desperately needs help. They’ll be homeless on Monday (4/8) after her mom’s partner was fired for reporting transphobic harassment in Kentucky. Since then, every attempt to find a new job has been met with discrimination.
The court has given them only 2 days to leave. They have 2 kids (6 & 16) and 2 dogs, and they are about to lose the only home they have.
Their own family promised to help… but instead, they stole from them and assaulted my girlfriend, who is 16 and trans. Now they have almost nothing. Even the storage unit with the kids’ belongings will be sold on 4/6 if it isn’t paid off.
They have no one left to turn to. Any donation, even a small one, or a simple boost could be the difference between safety and losing everything.
Been itching to draw more knotwork lately, so here's a "Tranity Knot" for Pride! ⚧️🪢🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 (I'm hoping to have this available on merch later, after we're settled in from our move, and will have an alternate version with some critters as well.) 😊
Digital art done in Medibang of the Trans symbol intersecting with the Trinity knot, both done in Celtic knotwork, and overlaid on the trans flag in an egg shape, with a black background behind all that. There's also text under the symbol that reads "Survive & Thrive" in an uncial font.
A picture of the street and bus and tram stops in front of Innsbruck's main station viewed from the eighth floor of a nearby building. The picture was taken in the evening of a rainy day and the day light is fading. One can see the light cones of the cars on the street and some neon signs are illuminated. (One neon sign is a pentagon in green that looks as if it was edited into the picture, but I swear that's not the case.) There is a mountain that is almost entirely covered by a white cloud in the background of the city scenery. In the middle of the picture there is a crosswalk. The space between the white stripes is painted blue and pink alternately.
I wanted to a drawing to express the way I feel spending time with all of you in my livestreams recently. Thank you all so much for being there and for all the love and support you give me. Every single one of you fills me with pride and joy~ :trans_rain_kanji_heart: :menhera_admire:
A sticker of a stylized shooting star. The tail is the trans pride flag, and there is text that says, "a trans person peed here". There is also a trans symbol on the yellow star.
Whipped up some Pride/Rise Up graphics for social media. Feel free to download and use it! Pictures below are some examples, there are more in the folder.
