@Willow My first name is nothing particularly special. It had a very loose similarity with my deadname, and had used it in private for a while. My middle name was a bit more involved - though I won't write it here. I'll just say it's both related to a place I have a personal connection to as well as a person I admire.
Got the catheter and packing out on Thursday, and I got to meet her for the first time. 🥰
Pain has been up and down but generally managed well. Off the oxy and just ibuprofen, Tylenol and gabapentin now. And cannabis edibles. 😎
Dilation is really not a big deal yet, but doing it three times a day is already tiring. I can move around pretty easily without much pain. Just have to keep aware of my limits.
First gift to myself when the new job starts is a new pack of these bad boys because my last set (read: the binders I alternate through currently) was bought in 2020.

I was walking into the bathroom yesterday, impatiently turned sideways to get around the door I was opening, and my boobs bumped the door frame. Hell yes.
vanta rainbow black's mini blue mastodon plushie Joan Mastodon wearing her trademark pink harness with poppy fidget toy and nametag attached and now there's a new addition of a trans symbol sewn onto the very front like a superhero costume
If you are hesitating, because you feel like an impostor, not "trans enough", take this as your cue to start! You won't get irreversible effects right away and will know soon enough if it's for you or not (only took me a night to be sure, after well over a year of fretting, but I've been told it's not the same for everyone)
If you don't want HRT, you are valid, only do what feels right for you :neocat_heart:
If you can't get HRT, I'm sorry 🫂 and you are still valid :neocat_heart:
Three years of daily selfies, strung together into a ninety-second timelapse, to document my hormonal transition.
I am so glad that I started this weird little project three years ago, part of the absolutely wild leap of faith that was starting HRT. I had no idea where I'd end up, but I hoped it would be something I wanted to share.
The image shows a green metal bridge overlooking a city street with lush greenery. In the distance, a vibrant pink tree stands out against the backdrop of green trees. Text at the top reads, "This is how I see Trans people," with a transgender flag emoji. The overall impression is one of beauty and positivity.
I bring you... the glorious Messier 31, the most prominent galaxy in Earth's sky. The galaxy is six times wider than the full moon (but a lot fainter). I have seen the bright core with my naked eyes on a couple of dark nights. #astrophotography#astronomy#transJoy
A huge spiral galaxy seen obliquely, covering most of the frame of the picture. The galaxy features several dark dust lanes and a brilliant yellowish core.
