I am trying to switch from #Evernote to #Obsidian, after many years with the former. This is not an easy way for me, as they have very different philosophies.
The one thing I have already learned - whatever over-complex recipes you see proposed on YouTube or on the web - ignore them. Start it simple and only add plugins when you really need them.
BTW, if you are using iPhone, I recommend Quick Capture app as it provides missing features for capturing, which Evernote has, and Obsidian does not.
I get impression that today’s internet is full of people, which try to sell us that being excellent means that you have to have some super elaborate procedures in your life.
Keep it simple and do things which you really care for. My best scientific discoveries were made where I had almost no routines at all. I just wanted to understand how the things work. :-) #Excellence#SelfImprovement#PeakPerformance
It's common to be overwhelmed by the constant attacks on privacy we read about every day, and to burn out trying to fix every problem all at once.
This is by the attackers' design, of course. Big tech companies and governments want to paralyze you with choices and actions, so you give up on the fight entirely.
It's okay to take a breath, clean up slowly, and train yourself over the long-term to improve your data privacy health over time.
