Cinema might not get everything right but it's surprising how often it manages to predict certain events, science and technology in the future. Of course, not all of these are that important but it's fun nonetheless and who can object to that?
(Bpsw. 1.000L Wasser/Kg Avocado vs. 15.000L Wasser/Kg Rindfleich)
Lasst uns alle einfach Avocados in Maßen genießen. Dass Avocados keine perfekten Früchte sind, ist im Übrigen kein Grund, Tiere auszubeuten.

True, we have to defend our fields from pests, displays contain animal glue and a few birds die in wind turbines. Should we therefore stop trying to reduce a lot of suffering where we can easily do so? Should firefighters save no one if they can't save everyone? Immoral behavior cannot be justified by the fact that the alternatives are not perfect. To wait for the 100% solution, the current situation is too damaging. Veganism is the best option that we have.
something something 'truly, to live is to be a bother to others'
No, they do not. There is no serious study to suggest that they do. Plants do not have a brain or central nervous system. At most, they respond to stimuli.
If you really care that much about the welfare of plants, you should go vegan, since many more plants "die" for animal feeding.
Do you feel bad while mowing your lawn? And would you rather rescue a potted plant than a dog from a burning house? Is docking pig tails the same as branch trimming to you? Question upon question...
That sounds like an attempt at discrediting Veganism as unreasonable and irrational, just to not seriously deal with it. As Veganism is based on facts, logic and common sense, it is the exact opposite of a religion. Consuming animal products though, mostly means blindly following irrational traditions and ignoring the facts or refusing them by reasoning: "That's how we've always done it".
That sounds more like a religion to me...
I used to love cheese and I agree. There is no perfect replacement, yet. Making udder cheese is complicated (and weird!) and thousands of years old, plant based cheese just a decade. If you're not ready to make compromises, then start somewhere else. You don't have to go all in, change step by step. Choose a meal that you like to cook and veganise it. Or learn a new one, there are billions of modern and traditional recipes from around the world.
Buy oat milk and stick with it for a couple of weeks. It's just a taste, you will learn to like it eventually.
"Human workers are treated badly" ticks the Vegan Bullshit Bingo #23: There are more important subjects
Absolutely! Fortunately, being vegan doesn't mean you can't care about anything else. We have to eat either way. Why not something ethically and ecologically justifiable, then? We hardly have such a big lever as through our choice of food - 3x a day. And a look at the environmental, humanitarian and global health consequences of animal-based foods quickly shows how important and urgent this issue is, and how much people and the environment benefit from it.
You are right, I buy organic as often as I can to not support the spraying of poison. And I usually eat whole grains, as you suggested, as it is much healthier.
we add tons of god knows what chemicals
This ticks #9 of the Vegan Bullshit Bingo. I'm from Europe and our basic organic oatmilk comes with stuff made from algue, seeds and plant oils. This is used everywhere in foodprocessing. Look it up, no dangerous "chemicals" to be found. There are brands that add sugar and artificial flavor, sure. Udders milk has about 5% sugar (lactose) and oat milk usually doesn't transcends this.
There is (almost) no baby killing going on
Half of the newborns are male and killed for veal, no? And the females get to be raised, milked and killed after a couple of years, so McDonald's can sell you cheap beef burgers.
most cows would get an udder infection if not molken regularly
Also, if you don't want to grow so much oat and soy because it destroys ecosystems and rainforests (#2), don't feed animals, feed people! We're losing like 80% of the calories by giving it to cows. Here is a graph from the BBC
I live like 200 meters away from a dairy farm, no shit. :)
Yes, animals kill in the wild - to survive. We humans are, as opposed to predators or parasites, omnivores. We know how to grow crops, vegetables, etc. and cultivate fields. We have a choice, a conscience and we have ethics.
Are you identifying with the intelligence and life situation of that of a lion or a tongue parasite? Do you also commonly ask yourself "What would a tongue parasite do in my place right now"? Are lions that kill newborns of other lions, for example, really good role models?
Shouldn't you take responsibility in the role of the stronger and be considerate with your power? Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you have to. Otherwise you could maltreat children, handicapped people and all other physically disabled people for fun. Of course we don't do that because it would be immoral. Why should this moral understanding suddenly no longer apply to other species? Wouldn't we also wish for mercy and compassion if tomorrow a species superior to us colonized the earth?
the vast majority ( over 80% ) of soy is pressed for oil. the byproduct of that process is called soycake or soy meal, and it would be industrial waste if we didn't feed it to livestock. that's a conservation of resources.

How can something that others literally gave their lives for be a personal choice? Food nowadays is globally produced and distributed and affects - like most of our decisions - many more parties and beings, such as animals and our entire ecosystem. The taste of of music you have is a personal choice. The freedom to choose what we consume though, should not limit the freedom of others. Be it through animal exploitation, destruction of ecosystems, inhumane working conditions in the animal industry, zoonoses and pandemics, multidrug resistant pathogens, waste of resources and further consequences, that lead others to suffer.
Plants have feelings too
No, they do not. There is no serious study to suggest that they do. Plants do not have a brain or central nervous system. At most, they respond to stimuli.

Skully gave me a dubious look. I supposed the situation was #uncanny, but I had nailed it when I said this was the Metaphysical Research Building. One should expect the #bizarre.
Clearing his throat, he began. “You were studying parallel universes and time-travel. All semester, you’ve been saying you were on the verge of a breakthrough.”
“Three weeks ago, you showed up with a rat dyed pink, claiming it was from the future. I was skeptical, so you promised to deliver next week’s newspaper. I joked, ‘Next week’s laundry #list would do.’”
“The following day, you took a vacation. Events #crowded in after that. The day after you left, someone ransacked your lab and burned your notes. That evening, police found your body cut in half in two different cemeteries. It was quite the scandal.”
“Did you find the newspaper?” I asked.
He reached for a desk drawer. “It was rather gruesome…” He stopped, his eyebrows knit in puzzlement. “No, I don’t remember any newspaper.”
“Time-pressure,” I thought. The paper or the memory of it would destabilize this timeline. That I knew about time-pressure, AKA time-stability, showed that I understood more about time-travel than I realized. From what the professor had said, that made sense. Time-travel had been my area of research. It was just a matter of stimulating that knowledge to resurface.
“There must be time-wardens or something that disposed of me,” I said, swallowing the word “rabbits.” I sounded #crazy enough already.
“Go on, tell me about time-travel itself,” I said.
