Das Mailprotokoll JMAP vereinheitlicht und vereinfacht die Kommunikation von Mailprogrammen und stellt einen modernen, offenen Standard zur Mailverwaltung dar.
Was bin ich froh, dass ich mich vor einigen Monaten mit #Linux und #Proxmox angefreundet habe.
Mein neues Fairphone unterstützt kein #EAS mehr (und das ist auch gut so).
Also habe ich mich mit #IMAP, #calDAV und #cardDAV auseinandergesetzt um an die Daten meines #Tobit#David Servers zu kommen.
Lokal kann das ja jeder, aber über #VPN und #Port-weiterleitung per #IPtables wird das schon spannend.
Aber jetzt läut alles.
@Vivaldi The integrated #Mail client. Though I need to say that I'm patiently hoping for more support for #imap folders (creation, moving, subfolders, naming convention,... ). And are we still missing #davx sync for the contacts?
Notice: Use of IMAP and SMTP, open standards for email clients, is not possible with Tuta. This is not acceptable behavior for an email provider and use of Tuta is strongly recommended against for this reason. Tuta's stated reasons for not supporting these protocols are lies and you would be well served by closing your account there.
Well that's a strong opinion. And yes, 100%, IMAP is not a end to end encrypted protocol so how can they offer it when the server can't read the data?

I've been seeing comments about mailing lists. They usually want plaint text emails like these.
