I muddled through the 1200s with context clues, and was still catching words in the 1100s, but gave up on the 1000s. It was too brutally yuele.

I would love to find an audio version to see how far I could get on spoken word alone. Being from the Appalachians, I’ve always been told our dialect is older.

Omg. That’s a SODA CAN for scale. From the thumbnail, I thought it was a D battery. What a gorgeous project. Heirloom tier for sure. 😍

My OCD diagnosed hubby self-medicates with sugar and/or naps. Weed does nothing for him. And he can’t have caffeine due to a congenital heart defect.

When we lived there, I took solace that we’d be vaporized early. I lived in the county where the majority of internet traffic flows. The Land of 1,000 Data Centers™️. I assumed it was on multiple target lists.

Now that I don’t live there, I still take solace that we ended up incidentally moving to another high-priority target area. Vaporization is still on the menu. We won’t be alive long enough to know or care what hit us.

Yes! My grandfather (the movies one from my other comment, not the moonshiner) was still leaving his business cards on people’s doors in the 90s when I’d ride around with him trying to collect payments on our customers’ accounts.

Lol, when he was 17, my papaw was transporting moonshine for his uncle.

My other grandfather was spending weekends driving over to Harlan to go to the movies.

“Fun” fact: Syfy originally was spelled correctly. Then they implemented this terrible rebranding. Though now that I think about it, had probably more to do with improving outcomes of trademark protection as Syfy isn’t a regular word. It was probably hard to go after others infringing on “Sci-fi” since that is a common word. Same probably goes for the “Trvl” channel.

I thought the conclusion was gong to be that you’ve lost track of your elephant.

My cats actually prefer Delectables over Churu (they tell me it’s a consistency/texture thing). But I think both brands have some form of bone marrow in them to make them extra umami. Not nip. Could be why your nip-resistant kitties still lose their minds over Churu.

My great uncle did. He survived North Africa, Sicily, and Omaha Beach. So he had some things to say.

“Mother, I have pre-moistened the forbidden string.

You’re welcome.”

(that or she’s being a lovely automatic tensioner)

Followed by a Triple H spray into the air!

But maybe better done with juice boxes or just plain water, bc dispersed milk mist going rancid would be extra grody.

I love the lighting, the orange-red leaf contrasting with the green algae, and the tree rings of the lumber. So many things to notice in a “simple” composition. Well done!

It’s a version of “why do we drive on the parkway and park on the driveway? What’s up with thattttt?”

You can monitor fundraising at the FEC website:
https://www.fec.gov/data/browse-data/

Some PACs file quarterly and some monthly. I think it depends on size & volume. So this site won’t ever have up to the minute data, but you can search out individual contributors. I used to compile filings for my employer’s PAC. It was a tiny PAC comparatively, and it swung one way or the other depending on which candidates were in favor of the PAC’s main issue. But learning the internal machinations was eye opening.

In my school (back in my day), exotic was a taco.

I want to add that I am in this category as well. I play for kittycat gashapon at Red Robin. I bought Lidl advent calendars for me and the hubby. We look forward to getting stickers from the elementary teacher who moonlights as a trivia host at the pub each week. And I’m half a century old. IDGAF what other people think. I never hid these sorts of things from my coworkers, and they accepted it’s just who I am. They also know me as an empathetic, level-headed, practical voice of reason if the situation calls for it. Two things can be true!
