Where to Manage

Go to SettingsOrganization SettingsBilling to:

  • View your current plan and usage
  • Upgrade or downgrade
  • Add payment methods
  • Access invoices

Only organization admins can access billing settings.

Open Source Plan

You get Starter plan features free if your project is public.

Requirements

Before applying:

  • Set your organization to public
  • Set all projects to public

You don’t need GitHub connected to apply. You can add repositories after approval.

How to Apply

  1. Go to SettingsOrganization SettingsBilling

  2. Find the Open Source section

  3. Click Apply

  4. If you meet requirements, you’re upgraded immediately

Staying Qualified

After approval, Vizzly runs compliance checks weekly. You need to maintain:

  • Organization and all projects remain public
  • At least one public GitHub repository connected

If you fail a compliance check, the system logs a violation. There’s no automatic downgrade with a grace period yet (that’s planned), but violations are tracked for future enforcement.

What happens if I make my org private?

Making your organization or projects private while on the Open Source plan will trigger compliance violations. While automatic downgrade isn’t implemented yet, you should switch to Starter before changing visibility to avoid issues.

Downgrading

When you downgrade, your current plan stays active until the billing period ends. New limits apply immediately:

  • Team members: You must remove extra members before downgrading. If you have 5 members and downgrade to Free (3 max), the downgrade will fail until you remove 2 members.
  • Storage: If you exceed the new limit, you’ll need to clean up builds. Future uploads may be blocked until you’re under the limit.
  • GitHub integration: Free plan can’t use GitHub features.
