For the fifth consecutive year, Belnet is proud to contribute to the annual awareness campaign of the European research network GÉANT. This year’s focus is on digital mindfulness: taking the time to pause and slow down when facing AI-driven threats.
With the rise of generative AI, cybercriminals have increasingly sophisticated ways to deceive people. Think of deepfakes, voice cloning, AI-generated phishing messages, and identity fraud. Research shows these attacks often target emotions to bypass rational thinking.
In a world where speed often works in the attacker’s favour, the "Be mindful. Stay safe" campaign encourages a different approach: slow down, pause consciously, and make more deliberate choices online.

Join the webinars

As part of the campaign, GÉANT is hosting several webinars on cybersecurity awareness and AI:
Learn how AI is transforming both cyber attacks and defenses, and why human insight remains essential. Dr. Maria Bada (Queen Mary University of London) will explain how malicious actors use AI, how organisations can leverage it to strengthen resilience, and the ethical and psychological challenges involved.
13 November, 15:00 CEST – The PDCA approach to cybersecurity awareness
In this webinar, Rosanne Pouw (SURF) shows how a structured, process-based approach, based on the PDCA model, can improve cybersecurity awareness and resilience within your organisation. She will explain the key components, how to structure them, and the benefits of this model.
