What I love about my job is really a combination of things: seeing the concrete impact of what I do, having the opportunity to learn and grow, benefiting from the trust and autonomy I am given, but also sharing moments with the team. It's this combination that motivates me and gives me the energy to move forward every day. Looking back on 2024, several memories stand out: joining the team, the intense weeks spent fending off DDoS attacks, but also the events organised by Belnet. All of this has left a lasting impression on me and makes me want to approach 2025 with even more enthusiasm.

What I appreciate most about my work is that I can see concrete results every day. Following up on projects and services – even if it often involves small tasks such as sending emails or asking follow-up questions – contributes directly to their progress. That gives me satisfaction and motivates me. In 2024, my most notable activity was my involvement in the WAN projects. They took up a large part of my time, spread over several months, with both completions and new start-ups. It was very educational and fascinating.

What immediately struck me when I started at Belnet was the family atmosphere that prevails there. You quickly feel integrated, your work is truly appreciated, and it is clear that all colleagues want to move forward in the same direction. That makes it very motivating to work in such an environment. One of the highlights for me in 2024 was the implementation of the complete search mechanism for Knowledge Management in ServiceNow. That project was a real challenge, but also a great joint achievement.

What I appreciate most about my work is that I can follow projects closely and see the entire process from start to finish. The trust and support of my colleagues, who give me the opportunity to learn and grow, make this first work experience particularly valuable. In 2024, everything was new and exciting for me. But what has stayed with me most are the moments when colleagues took me to clients and showed me specifically how to resolve an incident. I learned a tremendous amount from those experiences.

What I enjoy most about my work is the close contact with our customers. In my project, I can work with them in a co-creative way to develop new services around Open Science, fully tailored to their needs. That really energises me. The most memorable experience for me in 2024 was the intensive process leading up to the final approval of our project, after an extensive analysis phase. It was a challenging path, but also an important milestone.
