I’ve never been involved in a film club but would it be fun to do a sort of watch party for a particular film every two weeks/every month or so?
Edit: Nah, after dealing with some people on this board absolutely forget it. Some of you are lovely but the amount of sneering bad faith commenters makes me not want anything more to do with this place.
Of course! Would you like to organize this? It would just require two type of threads
- week 1: decide a movie, let the thread run for a week
- week 2: give people a week to watch the movie, then create the thread afterwards
I would like to but I’m currently juggling a newborn and full time employment so it’s probably a bit more than I can handle. However I’d like to take part!

There are a bunch of watch parties on Mastodon, our fediverse sibling. Usually, people all watch the movie at the same time and make brief comments (bc Mastodon is like Twitter, see?)
