Netflix has dropped the first official trailer for The Witcher Season 4, giving fans their first full look at Liam Hemsworth stepping into the boots — and dropping the f-bombs — of Geralt of Rivia. The new footage teases a fractured Continent, a reunited destiny, and a version of the White Wolf that’s more raw and battle-worn than ever.

The upcoming season picks up after the explosive events of season three, with Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) scattered across a war-torn world. “Something is shifting on this Continent,” warns Yennefer in the trailer, as armies rise, alliances break, and the lines between good and evil blur.

Hemsworth, who takes over from Henry Cavill, makes a debut as the gruff monster slayer. “I was such a big fan of this character,” he told Netflix’s Tudum. “It was one of those pinch-yourself moments walking around in this costume.” His Geralt is focused on one mission: reuniting with Ciri. “We pick up Geralt having just left Brokilon. His main driving force is to get to Ciri and make sure she’s safe,” Hemsworth says.

Meanwhile, Yennefer takes on a new kind of leadership as she prepares to face the powerful mage Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu), while Ciri — going undercover as “Falka” — joins the dangerous group known as the Rats, wrestling with her darker instincts.

The trailer also introduces Laurence Fishburne as Regis, a mysterious barber-surgeon with secrets that could change everything. “I’ve always wanted to be part of this kind of world,” Fishburne says.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich promises that seasons four and five will serve as a two-part finale. “It wouldn’t be The Witcher if everything ended happily,” she says.

Season four of The Witcher premieres on Netflix in 2025.
