Cruise Planners - Stacy Windows
After spending decades in the Human Resources arena (nine specifically in the travel industry), I am excited to be able to combine my passion for people and travel as a Franchise Owner with Cruise Planners. My background in HR has equipped me with a deep understanding of people, processes, and service. I am thrilled to bring those skills to my clients where I aim to create smooth, well-curated travel experiences, whether it is a 50th birthday bash, a family vacation, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
As a child, my most memorable vacation experiences were filled by spending time with family in another state during the summer. We had amazing, large family reunions, but I have many wonderful memories of just being a kid and walking to the city pool, going to yard sales, working in the vegetable garden… and oh yes, camping out in the living room watching all the glorious pomp and circumstance with the Charles and Diana wedding.
As a young adult, I fell in love with travel. I wanted to see the world, have new experiences, and learn about other places and cultures. When I was in my late 20’s, I went with a group of people (none of whom I knew) on a mission trip to India and while there had the privilege to visit the Taj Mahal. It was unbelievable!
Since then, I have found many of my happiest memories revolve around travel, such as…
- Sailing on my first cruise in 1993 with my sorority sisters
- Tasting jerk chicken for the first time at an all-inclusive resort on our honeymoon in Jamaica
- Braving the July heat while waiting for the afternoon parade with my toddler at Disney
- Discovering the real magic of Harry Potter in my 40’s while on a trip to Universal (ask me about that some time)
- Regretting the decision NOT to climb the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia (ask me about that too)
I somehow manage to raise my hand to spearhead many group and family vacations. Whether it is trying to figure out how to get a group of 25+ people booked on a cruise (with cabins near each other, same dining time AND tables together); or finding a house large enough for our entire family to spend a week together in Florida; or scoring the best deal with the best benefits for our trip with other couples in Punta Cana… I love it.
I absolutely love the strategy of planning, budgeting, researching the destination, the hunt for the best deals and the best places. For me, the journey is just as important as the destination.
So here I am, making my own dreams a reality by helping clients to make memories of a lifetime too. Where do you want to go to next? I’m ready to start planning, are you?
