ABOUT ME

Hey there, and welcome to my humble little Patreon! My name is Zack Flavin, and I'm an illustrator who until recently was working in TV Animation. I worked on some shows you may know like Bob’s Burgers, and some you’ll hopefully get to know from my time working Development at Cartoon Network. 

Ninja-Mage

So for the past year I’ve been working on developing my passion project, Ninja-Mage into a working series. At first I was targeting TV animation, as I learned a lot on how to pitch and create a series during my time at Cartoon Network. But this turned out to be a challenge I was ill prepared to navigate, and rather than trying to punch above my paygrade, I decided to retool the series into something I could create, a comic series!

If you like things like Final Fantasy, Shounen style Manga such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, or Bleach, then you my friend will love Ninja-Mage. A story of a young mage in training who after failing his final exam is sent to the big city to defend it from magical baddies. Did I mention that he uses an old Ninja Sword for his wand?? 

The story tackles topics like abandonment issues, fitting in. And is intended for ages 10+, with strong focus towards young teenagers. 

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Where your money will help me is allowing me more time to devote to working on the project. At current I’m only able to devote around 15-20 hours a week. I’d like to be able to work on this full time at some point in my life, as it’ll be a longer episodic story, similar to Shounen Manga. My plan is to start releasing episodes in the Spring. But eventually I'd love to be able to make prints of the comics that I can also sell for your book shelf!
