India vs Pakistan Highlights: Opener Abhishek Sharma struck a brilliant half-ton and shared a century partnership with Shubman Gill as India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in their Asia Cup Super 4s match in Dubai on Sunday. Chasing 172 for a win, Sharma smashed 74 off 39 balls, studded with six boundaries and five maximums, and shared a 105-run opening stand with Gill (47 off 28 balls), as India reached 174/4 in 18.5 overs.
Thanks to the two openers, India reached 100 in just 8.4 overs. But there was a mini slump when the two departed and skipper Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for a duck, but Tilak Varma (30 not out) and Hardik Pandya (7 not out) guided the team to safety.

Earlier, India pacer Shivam Dube grabbed the wickets of Sahibzada Farhan (58) and Saim Ayub (21), who had stitched together a valuable 72-run partnership for the second wicket, to stop the run flow after Pakistan had scored 91/1 at the halfway mark of their innings.
“I felt today was the day to bring out such a performance. Personally, I didn't like how they were making personal attacks after every ball. I felt it was important to give an answer to them,” Sharma told Sony Sports in a conversation after the IND-PAK match
Speaking at the press conference after the match, Farhan said, "I think, if you talk about the sixes, you will see that (a lot) in the future. And that (celebration) was just a moment at that time. I do not do a lot of celebrations after scoring 50. But, it suddenly came to my mind that let's do a celebration today. I did that. I don't know how people will take it. I don't care about that. And the rest, you know, you should play aggressive cricket wherever you play. It is not necessary that it is India. You should play aggressive cricket against every team, like we played today,"
In a post on X (Formerly Twitter), Panchal wrote, “I struggle to remember the last time Haris Rauf was effective. All talk, no play. Whole of Pakistani team is built on players hyped up internally by their ecosystem, who fizzle out internationally. False bravado can only take you so far in a game rewarding meritocracy,”
After heated on-field exchanges during the India vs. Pakistan match, cricketer Haris Rauf's wife, Muzna Masood Malik, has stirred a fresh controversy in an Instagram post where she referred to a gesture made by Rauf during the match.
The controversy began on the field when Rauf was taunted by Indian fans in the UAE about Virat Kohli's famous six off him during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. Frustrated by that, Rauf made the "6-0" gesture, referencing Pakistan’s unverified claim of downing six Indian fighter jets during the military clashes after Operation Sindoor.
Rauf's wife shared an image of the Pakistani pacer making the gesture in her Instagram story with the caption, “Lost the game but won the battle.”
“I think, after all the halla-bullu that happened after the last game, the pressure was definitely on the Indians. Maybe it showed on the field, as they dropped relatively simple catches. Of course, there were some difficult ones, but the standard we see today makes even tough chances look simple," Gavaskar was quoted by India Today as saying
Sahibzada Farhan's gun-shot celebration after reaching 50 has sparked controversy. The Pakistan opener reached his milestone by hitting a 6. Next, he did an AK-47 celebration, which has offended many Indian cricket fans.
Many believe it was a veiled reference to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 Indian civilians.
Haris Rauf was taunted by Indian fans by “Kohli” chants. In reply, he decided to take it further. He gestured plane crashes and 6-0, apparently referring to Pakistan's unverified claims of gunning down six Indian fighter jets during Operations Sindoor.
