Opt out of LinkedIn.com activity reporting in Sales Navigator

Who can use this feature?

Any Sales Navigator Advanced or Advanced Plus user can opt out of tracking their Linkedin.com activities. Usage Reporting is available for Sales Navigator Advanced and Advanced Plus users, and ROI Reporting is available only for Sales Navigator Advanced Plus users.

As a Sales Navigator license holder, you receive additional benefits on LinkedIn.com. Because of this, some of your LinkedIn.com activities are included in Sales Navigator Usage and ROI Reporting to give your employer (specifically the admin on your account) a full picture of your modern selling activities across Sales Navigator and LinkedIn.com.

As a Sales Navigator user, you can opt out of sharing your LinkedIn.com activities with your employer in ROI and Usage Reporting:

  1. Sign in to Sales Navigator.

  2. Click the Me profile photo in the upper-right corner of the page, then select Settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Privacy and data section and turn off the LinkedIn.com activities toggle to opt out of LinkedIn.com activity tracking.

Important to know

The specifics of your activity, like what you searched for or whose profile you viewed, are not shared.

Admins can access the following LinkedIn.com activities through ROI and Usage Reporting:

  • Number of days active 

  • Number of searches performed

  • Number of profiles viewed 

  • Number of public social engagements on LinkedIn.com (likes, comments, and shares)

Keep in mind:

  • Number of public social engagements on LinkedIn.com is only available via ROI Reporting.
  • ROI Reporting is aggregated at the opportunity level.

Here's a tip

Certain additional metrics are only available for Advanced or Advanced Plus admins who purchased Sales Navigator through a LinkedIn account representative. These metrics can only be provided by LinkedIn account representatives. Learn more
