Songwriters & Composers Wing

The Recording Academy Songwriters & Composers Wing Supports and advocates on behalf of all songwriters and composers within the Recording Academy’s membership and the industry at large

Without a song, there is no music. The Recording Academy’s Songwriters & Composers Wing represents a vast and diverse community of music creators within these crafts.

Working collaboratively with the Academy’s membership base and ecosystem of all music creators, the Wing fosters recognition of all genres of songwriters and amplifies their unique role in policy discussions that seek fair compensation for creators.

Through educational offerings including panels, mixers, songwriter retreats and mentorship, the Wing will provide opportunities for recognition, networking and collaboration, and welcomes the prospect of new Academy members.

The Wing will also spotlight emerging opportunities for song and scoring achievement within a variety of media on a global basis.

Griff is a British artist, singer/songwriter, and producer. She won the Rising Star award at the BRITs. Her debut album hit the Top 3 in the U.K. She’s toured internationally and with Coldplay, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and more.

EJAE

Artist/Songwriter

EJAE (Eun Jae Kim) is a Grammy-, Golden-Globe-, and Academy-Award-winning artist and songwriter. She wrote and performed the global hit "Golden" from 'KPop Demon Hunters' and has worked with major K-pop acts.

Cash Cobain

Rapper/Producer

Cash Cobain is NYC rapper and producer credited with originating "sexy drill" — a sound put on the map by his hit single "Fisherrr." He's also collaborated with Drake, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, and PinkPantheress.

Elmiene

Artist

Elmiene is a British Sudanese artist known for his soulful sound. Since debuting in 2022, he has performed on NPR's "Tiny Desk" series, supported Stevie Wonder and SZA, and received nominations at the BRIT Awards and the Ivors.
