Blastforanass... Blast Furnace... Get it? It's supposed to be a play on words! If you prefer to interpret it as something perverted, maybe it's a reflection on you! :)

Urban Exploration / Industrial Exploration / Hot Metal / Mining / Big Machines / Maritime / Old Things / Stuff like that.

I've always been fascinated by machinery and industry and have spent a lot of time exploring it, sometimes with official sanction and sometimes without. My upbringing made me sensitive to the natural world, and I'm intrigued by contrast of nature and industry. Whenever possible I've taken photographs of my explorations, knowing that so much remaining heavy industry will be gone in my lifetime. Only a few friends have seen these photos before, but I've decided to share a sampling here. I hope you enjoy them!

Sorry the quality of these pictures may be lacking. Many aren't technically artful shots. But many depict things that no longer exist or are significantly endangered.
