Erica Hauser is an artist currently based in Beacon, NY. She grew up in Brewster, NY and after being in NYC for some years, has lived in the Hudson Valley since 2007, from Beacon to Newburgh and back again. Primarily a painter, with some sculpture and collage, she holds a long-ago BFA in illustration from School of Visual Arts.

In addition to paintings, her work includes public art installations, indoor murals, commissions, design, and custom print collections. In 2011 she received a NYFA grant and attended artist residencies in New Mexico (2011) and Vermont (2012). In 2022 she received an Awesome Newburgh grant to develop a local public art project, and a NYSCA Statewide Community Regrant to create new work.
She participated in The Other Art Fair editions in Brooklyn (US, 2017) and Bristol (UK, 2018). From 2013-2020 she owned and ran Catalyst Gallery in Beacon.

She has been featured on Saatchi Art, West Elm, Chronogram and Hyperallergic. Her 2023-25 solo exhibitions include Robin Rice Gallery in Hudson, NY; Canvas & Clothier in Poughkeepsie; Artyard Kingston; and Howland Public Library in Beacon. During spring and early summer 2026 her work is on view at Big Mouth Coffee and at Industrial Arts in Beacon, RAM Design Home in Shelter Island, and Canvas & Clothier in Hudson.
