Medications and Treatments
Hi all! We often measure our health in labs and dosages, but we measure our lives in moments. Whether it’s a grandchild’s graduation, a quiet morning coffee, or a hike you never thought you’d take again, many of our most cherished memories are made possible by the care we receive. What are some special moments your treatment has given back to you? No moment is too small—from a wedding dance to a peaceful afternoon in the garden, we want to hear them all. Hello! I am 69 years old, I believe I have psoriasis, I have an area on my scape on the crown area, I also have a patch above my eyebrow on the left, a small patch on my lower lip, and a little on the side of my eye brow on the right side. What makes me believe it’s psoriasis is from research I’ve been doing, but more so I have come down with Uveitis on several occasions. I am not sure what type of doctor to see to get a diagnosis? Could someone please help me with that. I’m uncertain about doing daily medication, I’m a very healthy woman, and I don’t take any daily meds for any ailments other than omeprazole for stomach issues. My ophthalmologist is at the point of not wanting to continue with the eye drops needed for the uveitis and is starting to push for me to have testing done. I understand the markers for psoriasis testing can show up as a negative, yet you still, can have it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

First second on here Just wanted to share to help deal with all this I was told I had this psoriasis in my early 20’s and have taken every medicine given. Creams lights pills Ect. Now I’m in my 40’s and I stopped all meds for skin and bones for months So it go soo bad I was bleeding out of my clothes. I finally got to see dermo and just geared down and they said yikes I was covered everywhere but hands and face. And finally got prescribed biologics 20+ year battle. Thing is ya why was I never offered it before I’ve been in agony I would have paid.

Triggers and Flares
I am old (79) and single and alternate between depression and rebelliousness. I strive to speak out when politics seems to demand it, and when I feel ethics and my own morality requires it. I sink into loneliness frequently and welcome the chance to establish close relationships when the opportunity presents itself.

Hi I'm Tanja! I've been diagnosed with plaque psoriasis this last January(01/2026). But my Dr's have been discovering that I also have psoriactic(I know I didn't spell that correctly), arthritis in my S1 joints. and right hip. I also have DDD in my C5-6 & other stuff going on. I'ved been prescribed lotion, oil & injection Looking back during my childhood, my parents took me from Dr to Dr to try stop my runny nose, dry cough and itchy skin. My cheeks peeled to no avail. But one young Dr looked right at me and said, "She has allergies!" Then we did the scratch test on my back and blood work. Dr Smith prescribed allergy shots which I took for 12 years until I moved up to Kodiak, Alaska at 20. I'ved been living with allergies all of my life with super sensitive skin which will turn swollen, bumpy, & red in the sun if not covered by a long sleeved cotten shirt. I'm very happy and relieved that I finally found my tribe after so many years of suffering quietly.

Hello, I've had psoriasis start about a few years ago but since I did not think too much about any of this, I just let it be as I hid it with long sleeves, the long sleeves partly because during the summer I tend to get heat rash on my arms as they are in the sun. I was recently with a new medical provider and I finally mentioned it to her about my skin. She prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment usp 0.1% and I have not really actually used it for a few weeks but have started a bit more earnestly to use it the past two weeks. As I was getting ready today, I remembered this app and redownloaded it.
