Front door

The front door of devhack! At the Gelb Building

Consists of two doors, the inner wooden door and the outer metal grate.

Has a REX sensor above that unlocks the door when anyone in the stairwell moves within 5 feet of it. DO NOT COVER THE REX SENSOR. covering it causes it to fire sporadically and often, unlocking the door.

The inner wooden door opening triggers the magnetic latch to unlatch on the outer grate.

The inner wooden door opening inwards is definitely a fire hazard.

inner wooden door currently loses very slowly, takes at least 10 seconds

to adjust the inner wooden door close speed, turn the thum screw on the left hand side of the metal thing at the top left door. clockwise is close slower, counterclockwise is close faster. both doors are unlocked until the wooden door fully closes.

out door slams, and it's important to do so. it connects with the magnetic latch on the outside to ensure it locks. sometimes gets misaligned and doesn't latch unless the door slams.
