Comradeship // Freechat@lemmygrad.ml•Chinese robots are getting kind of insane yeah?
11·22 hours agoI really loved the dance and I also added more information about the company in c/Technology! It is so incredible that one user from lemmings.world called it AI slop due to their disbelief. -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/10737578/7758345
At this rate, people like that user(probably a Westerner) will call AI slop to anything incredible coming out of China LOL

Late Stage Capitalism@lemmygrad.ml•This is Angela Vergara, a far-right Colombian congresswoman who supported Trump and defended him on social media... until Trump kidnapped her son, and then she stopped liking fascism in the US.

It is sad that the only way for this people to learn is when the fascist that they backed up start to hit them as well. Otherwise, they will never care for what is currently happening.

8·6 days agoHmm, there is a long term way geopolitically and that is achieving energy and food sovereignty. Achieving both will mitigate the worst impacts of the criminal US siege. That’s why I posted my comment above because I tailor it to express a way that we can all actually help.
At this moment in time, that’s what Cuba needs the most from all of us which is a viable material help or agitation.
As for your area, you will never know until you try. There are comrades even in the most fascist filled places such as Miami Florida.

16·6 days agoDepending on where you are, there are established solidarity organizations that have plenty of initiatives. One example is this one from Italy:

The image says the following:
🇮🇹🇨🇺With the “Energy for Life” fundraiser, we want to support—explain the organizing entities—the Cuban electrical energy system, contributing to the purchase of products, equipment, and technical support for the operation of solar panels. This is concrete assistance to guarantee the energy needed to power schools, hospitals, workplaces, and cultural venues: spaces that are fundamental to daily life on the island.
If you have the means to help, please do! Anything is welcomed to our brothers and sisters from Cuba.
If you are from the US, there are ongoing initiatives with CODEPINK and other orgs as well:

If there are no organizations, then it is a good area of opportunity to make your own and to put into practice all of the theory!

As far as I can tell, it was replicated in every social media that I use and even my most visited telegram channels(Iranians, Cubans…).

World News@lemmygrad.ml•Cuba warns airlines it will run out of jet fuel after Trump instructs a total siege to force the island into submission. This is Yankee terrorism.
35·8 days agoYeah, it shows why it is no longer a luxury but a necessity to develop alternative routes that are not controlled by the US.
What they are doing to Cuba is what they can easily do to any country if they don’t have access to a different route like the BRICs is developing.
From Cuba’s side, they have to strengthen their energy independence through investment in oil drilling and diversify their dependency in machine parts from the West. In others words, they need to achieve energy and food sovereignty. To do this, they will need a lot of help from Russia, China, and Vietnam. From our side, we can also help by visiting Cuba and sending aid.

7·8 days agoUnless I am mistaken, these are movements that were originally formed to fight the gentrification within CDMX, GDL and other cities.
Sadly, due to the worldcup, evictions of vulnerable people have skyrocketed and, now that this people are fully organized in collectives, they have also joined the solidarity rallies for Palestine and Venezuela while including their usual agitation against gentrification.

Whenever I like a post or comment with good information, I always try to save it by clicking the star icon. That’s usually my main way to find information that I need later on.
As for the search in Lemmy, I always try to remember a keyword of the post/comment that I am looking for and/or the author of the post. With those two search points, it is easier to use the Lemmy search. The more you can narrow the search, the better it will be.
Regarding the Soviet Art, it may help to search for the community first(example https://lemmygrad.ml/c/socialist_art). Then, in the search bar to the right, enter a keyword that you remember from the post.
