  • i was watching some of this earlier today. 170k amperes or whatever he hit is fuckin’ absurd. absolutely insane levels of current. I didnt get to see what class batteries they were but I was just sort of intellectually curious how many cranking amps the batteries were capable of. I watched most of his video and I likely sound like im being an asshole but I dont care for him for some reason so after a while I just kinda quit watching. I dunno what to make of that.

  • i just stood there for about ten minutes and just sorta thought about where this turtle came from. How it exactly ended up here, where I was. I looked at the barnacles and thought about it just trudging along, breath after breath, while those barnacles just moved in and out, filtering the water while the turtle just swam and swam. And then I ended up thinking about how when the turtle died, the barnacles were done for and didnt even know it, not that I have a clue as to the congizance of a barnacle strapped to the back of a seagoing turtle. I just went on this whole like journey in my head about this turtle.

RIP llittle box tortle. I dunno that I’d blame this one on climate change tho comrade. Yes, it may have been early, but the raccoon isnt a product of climate change, thats a product of mother nature, or biology or whatever. If that turtle did get got by a raccoon, instead of any of the other ways a turtle can die in the wild, it could have gotten eaten now, or in July, or last November. Try not to get too bummed, especially on a maybe.

I dunno that Id blame it on yourself either. The things that consist of human compost may not be found in the wild to the extreme that a human makes them, but the compost process is the compost process, whether in the wild or in your back yard. Orange peels dont occur in a pine forest naturally but the compost process that affects pine litter is no different that the compost process that affects a wild orange grove in florida. Dont be so hard on yourself, is what im getting at. It doesnt do much in the way of good.

  • I’m along the gulf coast, so I’m familiar w the stilt house setup. The homes right along the waters edge are all stilt construction, and way back along the river banks in the unincorporated hillbilly parts they’re stilt houses too.

The houses done the low way tend to be smaller, more budget minded homes, while the houses on the barrier island/waters edge are ALL stilts, large, small or in between.
