He claims he didn’t know it was a Nazi symbol until now when this came out, he just picked it off the available stock designs at a tattoo shop in Croatia when he was deployed. Which, yeah, it’s really sus especially if he doesn’t get it removed or covered ASAP. But I can also easily see it happening. People in the USA generally don’t know Nazi symbology unless they are fascist or trying to learn about fascist symbology to be anti-fascist. I doubt like 99% of people in this country know of a single Nazi symbol other than the swastika, and maybe the lightning bolts.
His old reddit posts gave me some hope but this,
“I have been walking around with fascist insignia tattooed on my body for years without knowing” isn’t really any better than consciously getting it.
I’d rather listen to a fascist actually state their beliefs then listen to another round of “I’m just a smol bean international mercenary working for blackwater who doesn’t actually believe in the things I got permanently marked on my body”

My assumption is they’re already fascists i would just prefer they be honest about their beliefs rather then go around asking for treats because they say theyre totally on our side.

Ignorance is far easier to fix than hate, so to me it’s better. I’d rather deal with somebody who was ignorant than somebody who has all the information and chooses to be a Nazi.
