Impact
Our Strengths
The activities and impacts of Transition vary widely from community to community. This is one of our greatest strengths.
The Transition Framework has empowered people in over 67 countries to do what is best for their communities whilst also learning from one another.
Communities reported that the Transition model is particularly good at:
- Taking practical actions on the local level.
- Strengthening local food systems.
- Raising awareness of intersecting crises (ecological, social, economic).
- Enhancing social cohesion and community spirit.
- Sharing ecological principles and practices.
- Building networks and coalitions.

How do we do it?
At our core we enable connectivity for skill sharing, story-telling and knowledge exchange across the many local communities engaged in Transition. We provide resources and training in how to ‘do and facilitate’ Transition and build capacity and resilience in Transition groups.
