Who we are?
We’re a brilliant, vibrant community made up of more than 80 members of staff and over 150 student staff, all working across the SU’s departments and our Trading Company (UNU Services Limited) in our venues, shops and services.
We’re the place students go when they need information, advice, or just want to grab a post-lecture pick-me-up. And we’re here to support students through every step of their University journey - from the day they accept their place to the day they graduate.
What’s more, we’re an award-winning Union, having been deemed ‘Very Good’ by the NUS in their Quality Students’ Unions review, and having achieved Most Improved Employee Satisfaction 22-23 in the NUS Employee Engagement Survey Awards.
What we do?
We’re the voice of UoN students, their helping hand and their biggest cheerleaders. From representing them to the University and wider community to organising a whole host of fantastic events, we’re at the heart of student life.
How do we do this? By reinvesting 10% of our turnover from our venues, shops and services straight back into the Students’ Union.

Where we are?
We’re based at University Park, which, at 300 acres, is the University of Nottingham’s largest campus (and regarded as one of the most attractive in the country!), but we’re represented on every campus - from Sutton Bonington to Jubilee. And that means we’re always there when UoN students need us.

I’ve been working at PoCo for 5 years, I loved every minute working at the Student run Coffee shop and it offers me great flexibility to earn whilst I’m studying! It’s an amazing team atmosphere, and it helps that I adore coffee too!
I've grown as a manager at UoNSU, thanks to the considerable autonomy I've been given to lead a crucial retail operation that supports UoNSU members. The organisation values work-life balance, allowing my team and me to work in retail while also enjoying Christmas off each year.
I value my ability to be creative at UoNSU above everything. I am able to prioritise work according to students needs and run with it, allowing me to explore professional development endeavours and new ways of working and thinking.
