I've now got the basics of a pretty slick GTD system up and running in Emacs with org-gtd project. I'm going to need to test it a bit but if it works out ok I think it could be the mechanism for handling the 'work log' which is the first part of my MVP of a system to track all the things for work and life. I found a way to set a default app to open all compatible file types on macOS, which is not easy to do normally. I was able to see a list of all file types applicable to the Nova text/code editor and select each of them. Now I don’t have to play the roulette of where a note or piece of code will open.

You can also set a default web browser, e-mail client, etc. in one place.

My wife took me out for dinner to a local crepe place. We started with empanadas . Then I had a savory crepe filled with chicken, a cranberry and mango compote, caramelized onions, and a magno creme sauce. It weighed about a pound. I ate the whole thing. Alright, it's been 8 months since my last post. Uh, I've seen a fair few movies and read a fair few books. Started The Wheel of Time again (I've gotten 8 books in like 5 times throughout my life, they're great, but I always get burnt out), I'm 5 books in right now and it's as good as I remember. I've been splitting my time between reading sessions and audiobook listening (if there are good options that aren't Audible, lmk), which has seemingly helped with the burnout feelings I've gotten in the past. For movies, KPOP Demon Hunters was a 10/10 no notes. Uh, Saw Longlegs and Weapons, they were both good but Longlegs was better. Just saw 1408 for the first time, top notch psychological horror. Saw Warm Bodies, refreshing to see Nicholas Hoult in a non-villainous role, though admittedly he does play shitheads really really well, overall a good movie.
