MTCube 1, 2 (ROBUSTA 1C, 1F)

MTCube [University of Montpellier II]

MTCube (Memory Test CubeSat) or ROBUSTA 1C (Radiation on Bipolar Test for University Satellite Application) is a Cubesat project of the University of Montpellier II. The mission of ROBUSTA is to conduct experiments on radiation effects on memory components in space on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA).

The satellite is based on the ROBUSTA 1B cubesat. It carries the RES Experiment (Radiation Effects Study by SEE Experiment).

The mission is to characterise the behaviour of COTS memories (SRAMs 90 nm and 65 nm, FLASH, MRAM and FRAM in 3D configuration) in the real space environment against SEEs and compare with radiation tests on ground AND mapping the SEE response of these memories along the orbit.
