submit a site

if you have or know of a personal website, blog, portfolio, anything really, that you think would be a good fit for smallweb, please send it my way at submit [at] smallweb [dot] cc. i can't promise that i'll respond to every email, but i will do my best to review every site that gets submitted. just please put "smallweb" and/or "website submission" somewhere in the subject line so i don't miss it!

i swear i'll make this a proper form at some point
that point has yet to arrive tho, so 1997 webmaster-style email it is

guidelines that you might want to read before submitting

  • no hate speech, harassment, or bigotry (i.e. please be nice) - any websites that endorse, spread, engage in, and/or link to hate speech, harassment, or bigotry of any kind will most definitely not be featured. if that rule is something you're upset by, smallweb is probably not the place for you.
  • no illegal content - this should go without saying, but i will not feature any websites that contain, link to, or endorse illegal content of any kind.
  • no (overt) advertising - smallweb is a collection of personal websites, blogs, and portfolios. if you submit a site the only purpose of which is to sell a product or service, it will probably not be featured. this does not apply to commissions, patreon links, tip jars, etc.
  • (optional) help us categorize your site - we apply nsfw and/or photosensitivity tags to sites that have content that may not be suitable for all audiences. if your site falls into any of these categories, it would be quite helpful to include that information in your email (but we will check ourselves regardless).

other ways to reach me if you don't like email

  • bluesky - i don't post much but i do check it
  • discord - bluesky is your best bet tho

miscellaneous notes

  • - if your site gets featured, our bot may occasionally revisit it to update the screenshot and metadata. this won't happen frequently enough to cause any issues (one extra visit every couple of weeks at most), but in case you'd prefer it not to do that, please let me know in your email.
  • - i try to keep the screenshots of the sites mostly in light mode, so i'll occasionally invert the colors of the site to make it fit better with the rest of smallweb.cc. apologies in advance if that makes your art or images look weird.
  • - our screenshot bot doesn't seem to be able to render emoji, so if your site uses them, prepare for them to be replaced with blank rectangles (like this one here -> ▯). sorry!
  • - the screenshots are taken at 1000x750px with 100% zoom, so some sites may look a bit squished.
