「王貓網」？为什么叫这么怪的名字！

纯属巧合，我喜欢猫咪，我也注册到了这个超酷的域名 rex.cat 。rex 的含意就是「王」，但 cat 这里的本意并不是猫咪，而是一种赞助类顶级域名，是加泰罗尼亚语 Català 的缩写，用作「猫」含意的创意域名理论上是被禁止的，所以还请帮我保密 🤐

等等，你说这个是实例 / Instance，这是什么东西？

好问题！这牵涉到网络上一个叫作「联邦宇宙（Fediverse）」的世界。

在传统的社交平台（如微信、微博、小红书、Twitter、Instagram 等）中，你的互动、内容与关系都集中在某一家公司的服务器上。这家公司掌握着你的数据，也拥有最终的决定权。当我们的表达越来越依赖这些平台、甚至多年记忆都被存放其中时，控制权不在自己手中无疑是危险的。

而在联邦宇宙中，每个人都可以自行搭建一台服务器，用来存放自己发布的内容，并与他人互通。这样的服务器单位被称为「实例」。无数个实例通过一种名为 ActivityPub 的开放协议彼此连接，组成一张去中心化的社交网络。这样既能实现社交分享的功能，同时数据的所有权仍然掌握在个人手中。

你可以把这种去中心化的系统想象成「电子邮箱」。我们有 Gmail、Outlook、Yahoo、QQ 邮箱，甚至可以自己架设邮件服务器，虽然分属不同服务商，但都能互相通信。如果哪天 QQ 邮箱不好用了，我们还能导出邮件、直接搬家到 Gmail。而微信朋友圈或微博的内容，就没有这样的自由。

听着不错，那我该用吗？

不一定。没有需求，就不必强行创造需求，如果微信、微博或 Twitter、Instagram 已经能完全满足你的社交需要，也没有什么理由非得迁移到联邦宇宙。

联邦宇宙的社交平台确实有一定的学习与适应成本，而中国大陆的网络环境也存在众所周知的限制。与主流社交媒体相比，这里的世界显得安静许多。再加上如今的大平台早已拥有成熟的推荐算法，回到联邦宇宙的体验，可能会让你觉得像是回到了互联网的史前时代。

但是不妨想想：我们现在每天面对屏幕时，看到的信息还有多少是我们真正关心的？我们真的需要那些算法为我们推送的一切吗？

社交媒体原本不必是争夺注意力、操控情绪的场所。你还记得第一次注册社交平台的样子吗？那时上面都是活生生的人在分享生活、表达自己，而我们基于这些真实的内容交流互动，然后继续回到现实生活中去。

所以最终选择还是在你！

太好了，不过如前面提到，这是一个私人的实例，并不开放注册，但是网络上有很多公共的实例，可能会有这样那样的条件，但几乎只要稍微努努力都能注册上。这里我推荐几个，你也可以自行搜索调查。

• social.owu.one owu 站几乎提供了市面上所有主流的去中心化社交通讯平台的服务，而且写有详细的使用说明，对新手很友好，人数不多，没有太多限制。本站也是使用了 owu 站的托管服务，十分推荐。
• o3o.ca 我的联邦宇宙入门平台，拥有一个好多年的账号，也是稳定运行至今。
• c7.io 注册方便，同时附带邮件转发、博客等附带服务，可以一站式解决很多需求。
• c.im 域名很酷，这个管理员同时维护了多个服务，域名都是最短的三字符域名。
• mas.to 同样域名很简洁，也最符合 Mastodon 这个名字。

我注册了，然后呢！

酷！欢迎来到联邦宇宙，你的用户名应该由两部分组成，以我的用户名为例 @[email protected] 前半部分就是名称，后半部分就是所在的实例（看吧，就和邮箱一样），想要搜索用户名一定要名称和实例都确定才能搜到指定的用户。当然你可以关注我，然后也可以关注 版聊，这个版就像是中文联邦宇宙用户的公共留言板，他会转发所有 at 了这个账号的消息，因此你的主页上很快就会出现很多人，内容也会热闹起来，遇到感兴趣的内容就可以互动了，记得保持友好，中文联邦宇宙本来就是小圈子，更需要大家的共同维护。

内容与责任

• Admin 不对外部实例的内容、安全性或可访问性负责。

ActivityPub instances federate with other instances by exchanging data with them over the network. Exchanged data includes things like accounts, statuses, likes, boosts, and media attachments.

This exchange of data is open by default but can be blocked for instances on specific domains via a domain block created by an instance admin.

Alternatively, if this instance is running in allowlist mode, exchange of data with remote instances must be explicitly allowed via a domain allow entry.
