Yeah, it was complete BS. I’m glad it’s not a thing anymore

Thank you! And I’m a software engineer too, so I feel that pain 😂

It was “The connection to the server timed out”. But I just tried it again now, and it worked no problem 😅

That’s just for remote play. I was talking about cloud streaming, but I didn’t make that very clear 😅

Ah, that’s for remote play. I meant cloud streaming. Should have made that clearer! I do use Chiaki though, it’s great!

We had that before, on the PS3 anyway. Games just required an “online pass” to use the online features. Usually you got a code to redeem one with a new copy of the game, but if you bought second hand, you had to pay for it.
I’m not sure if that was any better than paying for one subscription to access online features for all games. I understand that there are costs in running the servers and such, though I agree that the subscriptions are definitely over priced
Guess I’m a priest now

Sorry it’s such a complicated issue. You’re an absolute hero for looking into it though!

@idunnololz@lemmy.world just making you aware of this

Thanks both @smeg@feddit.uk and @flamingos@feddit.uk! I assumed it was an issue with summit so posted here, didn’t realise it was an issue with the instance
Yeah, I was thinking that sounds pretty handy actually

Maybe this man was simply yawning, and the real thief dropped it in his open mouth. And the man, not knowing what was happening, accidentally swallowed it

That’s why we call him Mr. Fahrenheit

I haven’t heard of that site before, thanks for the suggestion!

The troll that lives under there only sells enchanted stones, unfortunately

I’d be willing to try cash converters. Haven’t been in one in ages, so I totally forgot they existed! I don’t think there’s one physically near me, but someone else mentioned they have a website so I’ll have a look there.
I haven’t heard of laptops direct, but I’ll check them out too!
I’m not dead set on windows or anything, so I’d be willing to install Linux (I have used it before).
That’s bad
