United Kingdom@feddit.uk•Starmer says UK will not join ‘regime change from the skies’ on IranEnglish
8·1 天前It’s like the gulf war 2 all over again. Except this time they’re not even pretending to involve the international community. They just cowboying it in.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Starmer reveals that he sought advice from god when he wanted join the war in the middle east just like Tony Blair.
People pay for this shite? 🤣
That’s so interesting. What was your mother’s maiden name and the name of your first pet?

London@feddit.uk•Labour must stop channelling Reform and unite with progressives. That’s the lesson from Gorton and Denton | Sadiq KhanEnglish
3·3 天前They might be less likely, I’ll accept that. But they still represent a large chunk of Labour values. Otherwise, seriously, what’s the logic in going further to the right and trying to “out Farage” Farage?
I’m not trying to say Labour are the biggest Brexit supporters… but they still seem beholden to them.

London@feddit.uk•Labour must stop channelling Reform and unite with progressives. That’s the lesson from Gorton and Denton | Sadiq KhanEnglish
3·3 天前Then explain the policies? I mean if the calculus from Labour HQ is “actually we won’t lose votes from nascent Brexitiers then let’s ditch these anti freedom right wing racist laced policies and rejoin the EU!”?
But that’s just not what is happening is it?

London@feddit.uk•Labour must stop channelling Reform and unite with progressives. That’s the lesson from Gorton and Denton | Sadiq KhanEnglish
22·3 天前Labour heartland voters are Brexitiers. Brexitiers tend to lean towards policies that Reform also lean towards.
Labour elites know this. Hence their policies to date. It’s time the rest of you wake up and realise this too. Stop voting for these bastards if you want progressive change.

I love the Talman series of guitars. I’m also bitterly disappointed that they don’t have them as part of their regular line up. They’re so hard to find!

UK Politics@feddit.uk•Green Party takes Gorton and Denton from Labour in first ever Westminster by-election win
13·5 天前I wonder what the Tories will learn from these results? That progressive policies actually hit home and to move back to centre right? Or that, “Ooo Reform won second place maybe we should ape their policies?”

UK Politics@feddit.uk•Green Party takes Gorton and Denton from Labour in first ever Westminster by-election win
13·5 天前It’s a good thing if you: don’t want the Reform party to be elected (increasingly racist rhetoric party).
It’s a bad thing if you: support the government (Labour party) who have no message to sell at elections and increasingly nobody trusts them.
If you’re burned out from being in academia why don’t you take some time off to connect with real life humans and volunteer somewhere? Find a local charity and offer to help out. Or volunteer at an old person’s home.
