It was always the version of events that I’ve read.
I just did a quick search and found this, a video claiming that he was a mod, but the majority of comments indicate it’s not true and that it was debunked.

I’m not defending the guy but wasn’t it that a mod of that subreddit added him as a mod as a joke? I don’t think spez created it.

Go ask Alice

I’d just go ahead and do it :)

Country selectors can also be annoying:
United Kingdom - not in the list.
England - not in the list
Great Britian - Yep

I try it every now and again but I simply don’t “get” the format. This isn’t an issue wtih Mastodon, it’s just that style of social media, I had the same issue with Twitter. The vast majority of content seems to be people just dumping their thoughts into a post. I think it’s because I have no interest in following people, but topics, which I find that Lemmy/Reddit easier to follow.

Yep, the vast majority of people will pick the path of least resitance, and signing up to centralised services are usually very familiar and easy. Throw in the concept of instances / servers, and suddenly people are confused - they don’t know what that means for their experience and it gives them a choice paralysis.
I don’t think there’s one thing I like about this. Everything, literally everything is awful.
Do you cut your grass in winter? I haven’t cut ours since October, it barely grows enough to warrant cutting it!

I like the idea of moving things up north, but I’m not sure if it’s really practical given that Whitehall is in London and other key departments.

Then there is the “full decant” option, in which both houses would move while the job is done. Neither option comes cheap. It would be an estimated £8.4-£11.5bn and take 19 to 24 years for the full decant, whereas staying put would come at a whopping £11.8-£18.7bn and take somewhere between 38 and a staggering 61 years.
Seems like the full decant option it is then?
I’ve read that one of the reasons why repair jobs take so long is because some Lords refuse to have sessions is there’s any visible building work going on in the chamber. So contractors need to stop, put things back and stop while there’s a session going on and then continue when it’s finished. And other staff complain if there’s any slight bit of noise going on.
If they can decant everyone out then this should surely help with that as contractors can work uninterrupted.
Nice one on the run! Which marathon are you looking at doing?
Have you had a lot of rain by your way? It was absolutetly glorious on Saturday morning and afternoon; I decided to take the kids out on their bikes, get on the train into town, grab some food and go swimming. As we got to the train station it had clouded over, then as we were on the train, it started to spit. It was pouring down as we go off the train and made our way to get some food! Seeing as it was clear and quite mild when we left the house and the forecast said it was going to be dry, I didn’t bring any coats with us!
It was OK thanks! Just busy with life stuff. Hopefully you can get your tooth sorted before your break so that you can enjoy it!
I’d bloody love a good solid couple of weeks off work with no responsibilities, it’s a pipedream at the moment!

I can’t see Aston completing any races at the start of the season. Cadillac will be slow but they have a seemingly decent engine. If they can launch it as well as we’ve seen the Ferrari powered cars can, they might be able to jump places at the start and keep the other cars behind them.
Aston will struggle to get through qualifying and won’t make it past lap 20.
Terrible cuppa, definitely.

Practical Engineering on YouTube has a great video about the hidden engineering of wildlife bridges, if anyone is interested in that kind of thing.

We’ve got existing ones in the UK too. Not sure what’s groundbreaking about this particular bridge.
Well where’s the proof that he created it? I’ll happily stand corrected.
I just think that if we’re going to attack someone, it’s probably a good idea to use facts that are true and not made up (it’s likely that op just misremembered the details) otherwise it just puts doubt on any further valid points. I’ve no interest in defending the guy but I do think we should try and keep our facts straight when we criticise someone.
