According to this webpage, it’s from the 8th album, La Mauvaise Tête, which I’ve never read. Fantasio has been framed for theft and Spirou is trying to prove his innocence.
I love seeing Spip jump. Squirrels are so graceful.

You know, back at my old house I had quite a job of preventing squirrels from stealing the birds’ seed. They certainly are incredible leapers. Finally I hit upon a ‘baffle,’ which was like a plastic satellite dish that fit around the pole that the bird-feeder was attached to. They couldn’t leap quite that high upwards.
