Tony hawk pro skater 2, played it often when it first came out and hearing about the 3/4 remake coming out soon reminded me of the games and it’s been decades, I wanted to see if it holds up. It’s showing some age in the fighter combo style tricks and arcade style levels, but the soundtrack is still good, and progression with unlocking stats and levels through goals is fun and wanting to beat a goal after failing a couple times keeps me coming back.
Redshift, it changes the brightness/color on the display bluer closer to midday and redder at night. Twilight is a similar app on android.
Phrasing it like theaters are losing audiences due to laziness and not a bad value proposition is nuts to me
Not to be confused with Dryococelus aka the “tree lobster”
I have two so far, a Scholar and a Futurama expert
You could become convinced your perception of it is an illusion and not reality as it actually is, then you would have no choice not to believe it.
The most efficient base for a number system is e.
We use base 10 with 0-9 digits and each position is a ten’s place, and the efficiency being measured is the product of the number of digits and the length of digits needed to represent a number in a given range of values. So if we used base 2 binary instead of base 10 decimal we only need to remember 2 digits 0-1, but to represent most numbers we’ll need more digits, 11 in base 10 is 1011 in base 2. On the other side we could use hexadecimal to write shorter numbers like 11 is B, but need to use more digits, 0-F digits where A-F are the 10-15 digits.
If you try to plot a function that minimizes the efficiency the minimum is at e. So you’d have digits 0-2 and e would be written as 10 since each position is an e’s place.

Watched Star wars EP 4 a new hope on Sunday, I usually watch empire or rotj if I feel like some star wars, it was nice going back to the beginning. 8/10 because I can only get the remake version, followed up with Spaceballs
Rewatched groundhog day, classic rom com I expect willhold up for a very long time
Street trash, remake of an old Troma-like movie, low budget gory horror face melting craziness
I hope their projects do well & I get I’m not the target audience for most of their stuff anymore, but I don’t think I can watch another fantastic four after how good the first half and soundtrack was to the last one and how terrible the second half was.
Hot diggity dog, let’s strike while the iron is hot and get on the ball while it’s rolling with some old tyme phrases.

Yeah all the Troma stuff was the first thing that popped in my mind too, Nukem high, toxic avenger, etc
Jennifer’s Body made some money but was poorly critically received, but it is actually a pretty good horror movie that was marketed poorly
Lake Placid is meant to be a goofy comedy horror movie that is a fun watch and made just enough to trigger endless terrible sequels like Hellraiser and Amityville, reviews treated it like it was trying to play seriously but some of the lines are so cheesy
Kelly Scott: The lake is so black and still.
Sheriff Hank Keough: Yeah, we wanted to call it Lake Placid, but someone said that name was taken
If you’re into 80s action/thriller The Guest is an homage that does a really good job, and has a unique soundtrack
Brick, early 2000s neo noir with the cast talking like a bunch of 1920s private eyes and gangsters. Like The Guest it was received well critically but just had a really small release.
Blue Underground has a bunch of stuff no streaming service would ever touch
Patrons who buy a ticket

I think you just have to judge them for what they are, not hyper gritty neo noir anti hero or the gothy expressionist dark serious tone, but more of a campy fun 60s Adam West bman style everyone just going really hammy.
