I remember years ago reading about some test where participants lived in a house next to a phone mast. For the first week the phone mast was off, then the next week they turned it on. In the second week a bunch of people complained about getting sick and one person even had to leave. Then it turned out they’d never actually turned it on, I guess to prove that these people were idiots.

Gotta admit, I don’t really play many Remedy games. While the settings and art may be good the gameplay is always kinda boring. I remember when Alan Wake was being developed and there was an insane amount of hype around it but when it came out it was just kind of boring to play. I haven’t finished it to this day. I heard Alan Wake 2 is really good but I just wasn’t going to play it without finishing the first one

I get what you’re saying but it’s not like it’s a small sacrifice, there’s just nothing remotely like Amazon’s customer service. I find something I want, click a button, and it arrives at my door the next day. If somethings wrong or I change my mind I can return it without having to argue at all and I can drop it off at the return place at my local supermarket.
This could be replicated by other companies but they just don’t bother. I went to order a wallet from a normal shop once and they had an Apple Pay link. I clicked it and confirmed the purchase and it grabbed my delivery details automatically and sold it for the listed price as delivery was baked into the price. They should all be like that.
About a year ago I went to buy something and found a cheaper price than on Amazon. Went to buy it and it went like this:
Force me to create an account Force me to save payment details Add tax Add delivery Add tax to delivery Add processing fee
After all this I checked again and realised that the price was now nearly double what Amazon wanted for it and it wasn’t even express delivery. So I just deleted my account and ordered from Amazon.

I really want an alternative to Amazon but I’m not sure such a thing exists.

I’ve done both but I keep coming back to distilling for this very reason. The hardest bit can be drinking it though. For a sugar wash you’re looking at like £6 per batch and you end up with around eight bottles of 40%. I don’t want to tell too many people what I do and even those that know often don’t want to drink it because they think they’ll go blind (which we know is obviously false).

How long though? It will peak at some point and then it’s all downhill after that. I usually just end up drinking pretty quickly as I run out of bottles and space to store everything (and beer in the fridge).

Nobody’s gonna miss the SoT remake, it looked rubbish. All they had to do was tart up the graphics and flesh out the end game combat just a little and it would’ve been great. The new graphics looked so uninspired.

Is it possible Canada could join the EU? I’d love it if all America’s former allies just formed a “cool club” and started isolating the US.

Switched from OneDrive to NextCloud. It’s much better with Linux.
For someone coming from Mac you might find Pop OS more familiar.

I’m 99% sure this’ll happen during his term but I’m not sure it’ll happen right now. I’ll bet they’re positioning themselves to be able to react faster next time there’s a major protest. I don’t think it’ll be long.

Yeah, the VPN thing is so basic. Why does it bother to tell me that the VPN’s dropped after I wake my laptop up, just reconnect.
I think this has already been shot down. I’m pretty sure the Lords said they’d block this.
