Valve has changed its DMCA policy, and will now “delete non-compliant DMCA reports and suspend the reporter’s Steam community access” if said user is spamming DMCA complaints.
Imagine being that pathetic that you try to get a rise out of people by targeting their works of passion and art.

- rustyfish@lemmy.worldtoGames@sh.itjust.works•Subnautica 2 Publisher Says It Fired Cofounders To Avoid Another Kerbal Space Program 2 DebacleEnglish382·7 months ago
In a lawsuit filed last month, the cofounders claimed Krafton tried to sabotage Subnautica 2‘s planned Early Access launch this year to avoid paying a $250 million bonus it had agreed to at the time Unknown Worlds was sold if the studio hit certain revenue targets in 2025 and early 2026. The legal complaint alleged that Krafton violated the terms of the deal by overriding the studio’s independence and firing the cofounders without cause.
In its response filed on August 12, Krafton denies most of the allegations in the original complaint and argues that it was the cofounders who were trying to rush Subnautica 2 out into the wild despite being behind on its expected content scope. When the company tried to enlist the cofounders, who were not directly involved in the game’s development, to get it back on track, it says it was rebuffed. Krafton claims it had no choice but to remove them from the studio in order to protect Subnautica 2 and prevent a disastrous launch.
“We made a deal in which they had to successfully launch the game and get a big payment when they hit certain revenue targets, but we had to fire them because they only wanted the money for which they had to make a good game, they didn’t wanted to make a good game, they were in only for the money, for which - again - they had to make a good game, they were clearly sabotaging the game!”
They are so full of shite. Corporate BS 101.

Big AFAIK: The anatomically correct human first appeared roughly 300.000 years ago. In the next 200.000 years they almost certainly genocided all their relatives. After a couple of behavioural changes here and there they had a mutation about 50.000 years ago which changed their brains, improved their communication skills immensely and they finally and truly became what humans are today. But they still wandered around until they finally started growing shit in the ground about 13.000 years ago. But it took about 7.000 additional years for some nerd to start writing roughly 5.000 years ago.
So yeah. The milestones are happening in ever shorter intervals.
That’s why I like Barbarians so much in DND.

Guillemot told shareholders that Ubisoft works hard to ensure games stay playable, saying the company offers “a lot of support” and services to keep games accessible “24/7.” However, he stated that “support can’t last forever.”

Leave them standing and refuse to talk to them like they refuse to understand or act like they don’t understand what SKG is about.
Think about it. They either don’t understand it but still expect to be taken seriously or they actively try to hurt the movement and don’t argue in good faith. So why bother?

I asked my girlfriend a couple of days ago to sign it. Today she told me she also send it to her family and a lot of them signed. Which is crazy, because not a single one of them is a gamer and they are all Italian, which currently lacks a lot in this initiative.
According to her sister “consumer rights and art preservation is a no brainer”. I love this family so much…more than most of my own family…
Fuck yeah. I’m on my own tonight. Which means I will order a big, greasy pizza and play video games ❤️
