I think when I hit my number (so that passive income should maintain until my death), I’m not going to quit working, but begin salary-scale mutual aid / community building / charity efforts.

But, I also think it’s cool you are living as close to outside Capitalism as possible.

  • I do believe she eventually grows to the age of consent, but I could be wrong.

Of course, I was saying “only female” is Sassette erasure. I was not saying “only mating prospect” is Sassette erasure.

I was just remembering her from my childhood. I wasn’t up on my Sassette lore. I found a reference that says she was created the same way Smurfette was, which surprised me.

  • I don’t know what you mean by “like murder”.

Do I think we need more capital punishment? Absolutely not. We should never kill person that’s already restrained from doing harm, even if their intent is clear.

Do I think there could be more meaningful liability? Yes. I think restorative justice means not just MUCH heavier fines (large percent of gross income for the entire period they are in violation) that are earmarked for environment restoration / pollution control efforts, but also time spent doing the work, on-site to restore / clean / contain for everyone in the decision/authority chain, across organizations.

I also think anyone that has been convicted/punished from wrong environment decision/action more than once could be subject to monitoring, publication, and shaming. Whatever education is part of the restorative justice is not enough, and society has to engage in prevention as a defense.

They should be treated more as “crimes against persons” than “property crimes”: probably.

  • Do you have a job?

I don’t currently. Are you hiring computer programmers? I’ve got 20+ applications sent out via Indeed, but I haven’t found one yet.

Even when I was employed, I still visited the library, a few bars, and the saturday farmer’s market. While I don’t think visiting the bar is necessarily a must, you really should participate in your local library and farmer’s market. Connecting to your community is important.

  • I agree, by the time you really deserve the term “city” you should provide public transit as a community good and it can be made so that most people want to use it.

I’m in the “city” of Cove, Arkansas. It’s a 15 minute drive to the nearest produce section, and I have to work remotely because there aren’t computer programmer jobs within a reasonable commute.

At low densities, EVs are the way to go. The more dense, the more public transit makes sense.

I do still wish passenger rail service was restored along the line through here to the county seat; there are days it would save me a drive.
