Norwegians have much easier access to ski resorts than most Americans. In fact, many Americans who want to compete move to places like Colorado and California to have reasonable access. From a quick search, Oslo has similar access to ski resorts as Denver. If I had to guess, though, they’re less expensive and more easily accessed by public transit.

Winter sports are also just more popular in Norway. I think this is for pretty obvious climatologial and historic reasons.

• generally, things like depth of field, shadows, and focal length seem off. It is as if different objects are from different cameras/lenses with different focal lengths, different lighting, and different editing.

The hippo’s just don’t look real, either. Too uniform and perfect with no teeth. Their teeth should be pretty prominent.

I’d be willing to bet that all news that doesn’t involve right wing nut jobs screwing up various countries has dropped by 14%.

I have thought for a long time that the chaos is the point. They’re not trying to do something strategically smart. They are trying to diminish the credibility of the US. They are corruptly manipulating US markets with big crazy moves as a means of transferring wealth to their friends while also trying to weaken the US.

They started small to see what they could get away with and have been progressively getting more wild with the moves they make.

My city made busses free but they only run like once per hour so it’s still impossible to efficiently use the system. Unfortunately it’s not just about cost. It’s also about usability.

Two questions:

1. Why would we think otherwise considering that everything in the universe seems to rotate from galactic clusters to galaxies to black holes to stars to planets to the brains of physicists trying to reconcile relativity and quantum?
2. Does the math actually work out? If so, is there a known constant for the angular momentum of the universe that would explain what we’re seeing?

Have you ever been to a national park? They are one of the best things about this country. In fact, while some federal agencies have poor approval ratings,the national parks service polls at 76% favorable and 7% unfavorable.

Honesty, I think anyone who dislikes the parks service must be a genuinely unfun person. I mean, who else would think it is a bad idea to keep some of the most beautiful land in the country out of corporate hands and available to the public for recreation?

Dumb question. If they collect donations, how do they plan to get them into Gaza?

I worry that donation campaigns for Gaza are likely scams because they won’t be able to get the aid where it is supposed to go. I worry that the people leading this are just pocketing the donations.

Please tell me I’m wrong and these people are actually trying to use the donations well…
