It’s so far worse than just your typical parasites, they’re largely attributed to the entire housing crisis in west. Even in my small country, I noticed many people no longer wanted to work, make businesses, etc., they went to some rich country to work for some time, came back to buy apartments and rent them out, but the problem is that they’re all pushing for higher rent prices than what is acceptable, and since they all do it, then people are essentially left with no choice and you see your rent proces doubling, tripling in the span of a 10 years.

What’s ironic is that these people commonly speak out against capitalism and favor socialism

It gets even worse when they put these apartments on temporary rentals (Airbnb), so most of them stay empty for majority of time
