Because ignoring Nazis as they spread their hate has always worked out great historically, hasnβt it?

I like American music. Do you like American music? I like American music, too.

Weβre either there or close, but just like last time you asked this, nobodyβs going to do this in secret. Theyβd be bragging their asses off.
Itβs right now. Indies everywhere, and weβve successfully gotten past the worst of the always-online bullshit and PTW that plagued the early part of the millennium. More than half of my βall time favoriteβ games are still in active production today (sometimes continued by fans), and Iβm not a young guy.

Iβm a big Neal Stephenson fan, but the Baroque Cycle was a friggenβ case study in his worst failing at the time: Unable to to tye all the narrative threads into a neat ending, he just. kept. writing. book after book until he finally petered out.

Iβve only seen it used to play games on school / public computers. The game runs from the USB, since the user doesnβt have permission to install software on the computerβs harddrive.

Taco Johns is the favorite, obviously.

I own a bike multitool that includes a chain breaker, tire shim, and all the most common gauges of Allen wrench in one 1 x 3 x 6cm, 5z package. Never leaves the pannier.
Going to the same place 5 days a week
A lot of jobs involve travel, on a variety of scales. My brother is a civil engineer and is on a different site every week. I personally like the routine of going to the same place, but thatβs not a requirement for employment.
coming home with no time and energy left
I mean, that sucks. But you donβt necessarily have to work that many hours or that demanding a job. I do work a physically and emotionally demanding job; I prefer to work on personal projects and household tasks during the day, go to my job in the evenings, and then it doesnβt matter that I come home tired; I go right to bed.
for anything you actual like
A lot of people like their job. Another respondent said she wouldnβt do her job for free; I probably would if I could afford to. It makes me happy. I canβt afford to and am pretty zealous about making sure I earn a competitive rate, but I even enjoy that aspect, the competition of it.
doing this for FOURTY years or even more
I mean, it doesnβt have to be the same work that while time. At forty, Iβve been a programmer, a teacher, a waitress, and a full-time parent. Iβm thinking about picking up a trade, becoming an electrician or a carpenter or a plumber. As long as you keep learning and keep experimenting, youβll have an interesting life.

My eye sockets are loose enough for me to fit small objects back there, and retrieve them later.

Obviously, since the second date is also where they see if I can cook.

Itβs not bigotry if your opinion is based on evidence.
- βπππ @slrpnk.nettoAsklemmy@lemmy.mlβ’What do you want out of someone you're on a first date with?4Β·22 倩ε
First date is to see if they can carry a conversation and hold their hooch.
Second date is to see if they can cook.
