  • They advertise and are professionally licensed. Many specialize in counter-surveillance.

Other then the advice to “look”, theres not much you can do.

To do this in a way that will locate well-hidden devices you should hire a professional who owns the right tools.

Otherwise, install kismet and monitor for unknown BLE and wifi signals and use video surveillance to detect people attempting to remove passive devices.

You won’t be able to locate devices that use other wireless technology without specialized tools.

If this is a serious worry then hire a professional

  • I have both strong opinions on things and suggestions.

The Windows software stack is completely independent of the Linux software stack. This doesn’t tell you anything about the problem. Trying Windows tells you that the hardware has the capability, but you could have learned that from a spec sheet.

If you want to solve the problem on Linux, make a post with the details of the problem and what you’ve tried so far as well as any logging that you can get out of Sunshine which would show you starting Sunshine and starting a stream.

Without any other information:I read the fantastic manual.

It looks like you’re likely running into a documented problem: Mesa has disabled VA-API for legal reasons

Without vaapi support, sunshine falls to software encoding which means the encoding is running on your CPU and that is what is causing the stuttering, so to fix it you would need to install a version of mesa that’s been compiled with the correct flags (h264enc, 265enc).

The instructions for doing this depends on our distro. On Arch, amdonly-gaming-mesa-git is listed as an optional package for the AUR version of sunshine, amdonly-gaming-mesa-git is compiled with video-codes=all which will enabled the h264, h265 support.

  • The topic of the thread is about users migrating away from Discord due to privacy concerns over their ID requirements. If this doesn’t apply to you, what is your purpose commenting? To tell us all that the thing in the OP isn’t actually happening?

    Your position is that:

    • this can’t happen,
    • people can’t leave discord because people are on discord,
    • it’s impossible to learn 3 applications,

Therefore nobody would replace Discord with Teamspeak and also use some other chat program (that’s 2 programs! which is nearly as impossible as learning 3 programs!).

You’re posting this opinion in a thread about users migrating to TeamSpeak and calling me the idiot?

    That’s certainly an opinion.

    Your a fucking delusional idiot.

‘Your’ is the possessive form of you.

You’re is the word you’re looking for, as it is a contraction of ‘you are’ as in ‘you are an idiot’.

  • Voice chatting and streaming and text channels on the same client are an absolute must.

Yes, those are certainly a convenience that would be nice to have.

I just don’t think they’re “Be subjected to Discord” nice anymore.

I’ll take on the burden of launching two executables and clicking two different windows in order to not be subjected to the endless monetization and privacy violations.

Not everyone agrees, that that’s fine too. Using Discord (or Signal if your group is small and care more about privacy than open source) isn’t wrong, but some people see the downsides as outweighing the benefits.
