FY 2027 Wake Transit Work Plan Summary
The draft FY 2027 Wake Transit Work Plan proposes to allocate $164.9 million in transit investments across Wake County between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027. This budget includes an $80.4 million allocation for new and expanded operations and $84.5 million for capital investments including the first rail ready investments and various infrastructure improvement projects.
The process to develop the FY 2027 Wake Transit Work Plan began with a kickoff meeting on August 28, 2025. CAMPO and GoTriangle governing board adoption is anticipated to occur in June 2026. Follow progress through the drafting and development process here.
Each Work Plan document is around 200 pages, but is separated into 2 parts.
- Part 1 details the specific services and capital investments that will receive Wake Transit funding in the upcoming fiscal year (July-June).
- Part 2 is the Appendix (MYOP and CIP) which lists the investments programmed to be funded out through FY 2035.
The materials provided for review are focused on Part 1.
